Woodborough Hall Estate  - Sale By Auction 1937



Woodborough Hall was put up for auction by the Dowson family in 1937. The Hall was bought by the Crown for use by a succession of several high-ranking officers. From 1939 the Hall was occupied firstly by RAF officers, then from 1939 it was used by a number of senior high-ranking Army personnel this arrangement lasted until 1980. In 1984 The Hall was purchased by a Mr Oxby.
